Religions, please migrate your Holy texts to JSON
Sorry for the rant but oh my gosh, it’s 2022, can we stop using paper for everything?
Christianity — just to pick a mainstream example — used to be at the forefront of technology with the Gutenberg press. Now, the time has come once more to embrace the digital revolution across the entire spiritual spectrum.
We could use PDFs, but why stop there? PDFs are so 20th century. I say we take it a step further and migrate all religious texts to JSON.
What are the benefits of JSON?
- JSON is more versatile than paper. You can put it on a website, on a mobile app, or even on a blockchain.
- JSON is more accessible. With paper, you have to go to a church or a library. With JSON, you can access religious texts from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. God effectively becomes omnipresent.
- JSON allows for interactivity. An example of this will be provided later in this article.
But the actual reason why JSON is the chosen format, so to speak, is much more mysterious. To understand it, we need to take a step back.
